Profile data: age, height, weight, activity level, and dietary goal — to calculate your personalised calorie target
Food logs and AI requests: foods you log, meal descriptions you type, photos you scan, and nutrition estimates. Descriptions and photos are sent to Google Gemini for analysis. We do not store the original photo after analysis. A new food estimate can be added to the shared food catalogue before you confirm a log, so avoid putting personal details in a food name or description.
Weight logs: your recorded weigh-ins
Exercise logs: activities and duration you track
Saved meals & favourites: meal templates and foods you save for quick re-logging
Push notification token: if you enable meal reminders, your browser's push subscription endpoint and encryption keys — used only to deliver reminders, never shared or sold
Subscription data: plan type and billing status (handled by Razorpay, Stripe, or Google Play — we never see your card, UPI, or bank details)
Optional product analytics: only if you turn it on in Settings, we send an account identifier, event names, and page views of public pages to PostHog. It is off by default. We do not send form values, meal or health values, chat text, payment details, or session recordings.
Diagnostics & error reports: when something goes wrong, technical details about the failure — the error, the action that triggered it, and basic device and browser information — collected via Sentry so we can find and fix it. Used only to keep the app working, never for advertising or profiling.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide GetInShape's features: calculating your calorie targets, showing your food and weight history, sending reminders you've opted into, and managing your subscription. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Data Storage
Your account, profile, logs, saved meals and custom foods are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security that limits access to your account. The shared food catalogue, including AI-generated estimates, is visible to signed-in users. Connections use HTTPS/TLS.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted providers:
Supabase — database and authentication
Razorpay, Stripe, and Google Play Billing — payment processing (PCI-compliant); which one handles your payment depends on how you signed up
Vercel — hosting and edge functions
IFCT 2017 (NIN Hyderabad) & Open Food Facts — food nutrition data
Google Gemini — AI photo and natural-language meal analysis
PostHog — optional product analytics after you opt in
Sentry — error and diagnostic reporting, so faults get spotted and fixed
The only third-party browser script we load directly is Razorpay Checkout when you start a web purchase. Inter, Inter Tight and Instrument Serif font files are bundled and served by this app through Next.js font hosting. We do not load Google Analytics, advertising pixels or session replay. Each provider has its own privacy policy and security practices.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
6. Cookies
GetInShape uses essential cookies for authentication and app operation. PostHog identifiers are used only after you opt in to analytics in Settings. You can switch analytics off there at any time. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
7. Children
GetInShape is available only to people aged 13 and older. We check age before account creation, including Google sign-in, without saving the birth date. If a child under 13 has an account, a parent or guardian can email us to request deletion.
8. Changes
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice.
